The beginnings of the Assyrian Church are found in the 1st decades of the apostolic era. With revelation of the Son of God in the flesh, the salvific message of the Gospel was open to peoples of diverse tongues & cultures. The Gospel-writer St. Luke records in the book of Acts the events of the growth and spread of the Christian Gospel in the Holy City & abroad, to the outer limits of the Roman Empire. >> more
The St. Mary's choir is an integral part of worship at Sunday Holy Liturgy. The choir is composed of dedicated parish members who regularly practice under Father Brikha's direction. Rehearsals are held regularly. If you would like to join the choir - please contact Father Brikha for more information. The St. Mary's choir leads services at each Holy Liturgy and special events through the year. The choir was a special part of the 2005 ground breaking dinner hosting His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV. Traditional prayers and hymns were sung by the choir. The choir sings a wide range of music, specializing in Traditional Aramaic repertoire as is found in all parishes of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East.
